Wesley, how are you feeling? Oh, what a whirlwind this has been! Can you believe we’re actually here? In Ecuador, no less! I’m filled with excitement and a bit of disbelief. This is a moment to cherish on our mission trip.

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day and making the most of every moment. I’m Connor Gaul, and I’m thrilled to welcome you back to our journey. It’s hard to believe we’re already in the second month of the World Race, and now we find ourselves in the charming town of Baños, Ecuador, at the Santa Cruz Hostel. The hospitality we’ve experienced here has truly been a blessing.

This month is special because it’s all about our squad coming together. Everyone from our training camp has reunited, and it feels like a family reunion. Today is a day of adventure, a well-deserved break for our spirits as we embark on new experiences.

As I gather with the team, I can feel the camaraderie and excitement in the air. We’re waiting for our bus to take us up into the majestic mountains, and I can already sense that this place is going to challenge and enrich our faith journey. It's amazing how God orchestrates these encounters with beauty and community to foster our spiritual growth.

Ah, there’s Hannah! It’s so good to see her again! She shares her excitement about our upcoming ministry in Quito, where we’ll be working with adults with disabilities. It’s moments like this that remind us that our mission trip is not just about exploring new places, but also about making meaningful connections and serving others.

The memories from our first month in Colombia linger in our hearts. It was a month of blessings and challenges, and while it was tough to leave, those experiences have paved the way for this new chapter. And let me tell you, the hot showers they had—such a luxury!

As we prepare for our excursion, the energy is palpable. It’s a joy to witness my friends embracing this adventure, like Dan, who has taken to vlogging with infectious enthusiasm. Each laugh and shout of excitement only deepens our connection and shared purpose.

Today, we get to zipline through the breathtaking landscapes of Ecuador—a beautiful reminder of how God’s creation surrounds us and invites us to embrace life fully. As Wesley and I gear up to take the leap, I can’t help but reflect on how these experiences stretch us and encourage our spiritual growth.

The ride higher into the mountains reveals stunning vistas, and I’m in awe of the volcanoes that stand as silent sentinels over this land. Such beauty calls for gratitude. We are so blessed to be here, soaking in the wonder of it all.

As we hike to the treehouse swing, I feel a swell of hope and joy. This journey has been more than just a trip; it’s a profound encounter with God, a revival of our spirits as we grow together in community. Our mentors, Doug and Chris, offer wisdom that resonates deeply—stay open, stay vulnerable, and go deep. These words will guide us as we step into the next phase of our ministry.

Though I didn’t get to take the swing myself, my heart is full from the laughter and love we’ve shared today. I captured moments of my friends soaring through the air, and their joy is a reflection of the grace we've experienced on this mission trip.

As we prepare to head to Quito tomorrow, I am filled with anticipation for the ways God will move in our lives and the lives of those we’ll serve. Thank you, Ecuador, for welcoming us with open arms. Until next time, may we continue to embrace each moment and grow in faith together. If you haven’t already, consider subscribing to follow along on this incredible journey. Until we meet again, take care and blessings to all!

**A Journey of Faith and Adventure in Ecuador**

As I sit here reflecting on our time in Ecuador, my heart is overflowing with gratitude and excitement. Just two months into our mission trip, it feels surreal to be surrounded by the vibrant beauty of Baños, Ecuador. This quaint little hostel, Santa Cruz, has become our home base, a haven where laughter and camaraderie flourish among the squad.

Today marks a special day as we gather for a much-needed adventure. It’s not just about exploration; it’s about deepening our connections and nurturing our faith journey together. The energy is palpable—there’s a sense of anticipation as we prepare for an excursion into the mountains. I can’t help but smile as I join my teammates, greeting familiar faces and feeling the warmth of community that binds us.

As we wait for our bus, I catch snippets of conversations about our upcoming ministry in Quito, where we’ll be working with adults with disabilities. There’s a shared understanding among us that this is more than just a trip; it’s an encounter with God. Each moment spent serving is an opportunity for spiritual growth, a chance to share love and compassion in ways that resonate with our hearts.

The first stop is a zip-lining adventure, and my spirit leaps at the thought. I watch Wesley’s eyes widen as we approach the platform. “This is crazy!” he exclaims, and I feel that same thrill in my own heart. The rush of the wind and the breathtaking views remind me of the beauty of stepping out in faith. We soar through the air, laughter echoing as we embrace the exhilaration of the moment.

Each experience here—from the stunning volcanoes to the iconic swing at the edge of the world—fills me with awe. The world is vast and beautiful, and I’m reminded of how small I am in comparison. Yet, it’s in this humility that I feel God’s presence most profoundly.

As we hike to the treehouse swing, I pause to take it all in. The vibrant colors, the scent of the earth, the laughter of friends—it’s a revival of the spirit. Our mentors, Doug and Chris, share their insights, encouraging us to remain open and vulnerable in our community. Their wisdom resonates deeply, reminding us that vulnerability fosters connection and growth—a lesson learned from our first month of ministry.

Even when I miss out on the swing due to a long line, I find joy in capturing the moments of others. The spirit of adventure and togetherness is what truly matters. As the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the mountains, I feel a profound sense of peace. This is a time to reflect, to recharge, and to prepare for the ministry ahead.

Tomorrow, we’ll head to Quito, ready to serve and to learn. I’m filled with hope for what lies ahead on this mission trip—each day is a new opportunity to encounter God and witness His love in action. Until next time, may we continue to embrace this journey together, rooted in faith and driven by purpose.
